Do I need experience as a delegate to attend the conference?
Not at all, most delegates come to our conference with no previous UN simulation experience. We spend the majority of the first day going over UN procedure and getting to know each other.
What do I need to bring with me?
Your laptop, charger, and a bottle of water.
We will provide meals and drinks throughout the three days.
As a sustainable initiative, we try our best to hold a completely paperless conference so, please bring your laptop or portable electronic device to be able to access google drive and our delegate resources on this website.
How can I come prepared for the conference?
Bring your research! Make sure you know your country's policies and stance surrounding the conference topic.
Read through our delegate resources webpage especially the DELEGATE PACKAGE HANDBOOK and THE THEME GUIDE.
What time is the conference each day?
Tentatively, the conference schedule runs from:
Friday, 5 PM- 8:30 PM,
Saturday 9 AM- 5 PM,
Sunday 9 AM- 7 PM
Is there a dress code?
The dress code is Business Formal.
When will I know which country will I be representing, as a delegate?
We will contact you within a few weeks before the conference via email (after you have paid through Eventbrite).
What happens after a conference resolution is written and passed?
After the conference, we submit the final draft resolution forward to the World Health Organization and the International Federation of Medical Students' Association. Therefore, this is a unique opportunity for bright student leaders in university or high school to make a real difference in global health policies by participating in a weekend of dialogue on concerning health policies.
I can not make it to a few hours or one of the days of the conference. Can I still register and attend?
It is best for you to be present throughout the conference during our regional and plenary sessions. Please inform us ahead of time if you can not attend the entire conference, so we will not place you in a high priority country.
Where is the conference held?
Our conference is located in Council Chambers located in the University Hall building, next to Van Vliet and across from the Student's Union Building.
